A horrific event has occurred in Ranchi, Jharkhand, where a five-year-old girl was raped during a wedding. The attacker used the pretext of offering mangoes to lure the child to a secluded garden where the assault took place.
The assault was revealed when the child, bleeding and in distress, returned home. The family immediately took her for medical assistance. She first received initial treatment at a local CSC and was then referred to RIMS hospital in Ranchi due to the severity of her injuries.
The community reacted with anger. They caught Karmadev Urav and inflicted a severe beating. Police intervened and rescued the suspect. The police have registered a case against him, including charges under the POSCO Act, based on the family’s complaint.
