    A horrific incident unfolded in Khunti, Jharkhand, resulting in one fatality and serious injuries. Two friends on a motorcycle were targeted in a late-night attack. The assailants first used chili powder to impair their vision and then attacked them with a sharp-edged weapon. One of the victims died at the scene. The police were notified and have begun an investigation, including a search for the attackers. The body has been taken for a post-mortem. The victims were ambushed near Kochadih village while returning from the Saiko weekly market. The deceased was identified as Choyta Sarukud. Singa Munda was seriously injured. The attackers escaped after the attack.
