A violent incident in Khunti district of Jharkhand led to the death of one person and the injury of another after an attack on two friends riding a motorcycle. The assault took place late on Friday night. Upon receiving the information, the police promptly arrived at the location. The deceased’s body has been taken for a post-mortem, and an investigation has been started to apprehend the criminals.
The victims were on their way home from the Saiko weekly market and were attacked near Kochadih village. The attackers first threw chili powder into the eyes of the victims, and then attacked them with a sharp-edged weapon. Choyta Sarukad died due to the attack, and Singa Munda was critically wounded. The attackers fled from the spot.
The incident came to light when some villagers were passing from the spot late at night, and they immediately took the victims to a nearby hospital. The Murhu Police, after receiving information, reached the hospital. They have registered a case based on the statements of the injured individual and have initiated a search to arrest the accused persons, assuring a swift conclusion to the case.
