Rongjiang County in Guizhou Province, China, is currently facing a severe flood crisis, prompting authorities to activate the highest-level emergency response. The water level at the Shihuichang Hydrological Station on the Duliu River has surpassed the safe level. The local flood control and drought relief headquarters has upgraded the emergency response from Level II to Level I. Over 41,574 individuals from 11,992 households have been relocated. More than 1,000 soldiers, along with heavy machinery, are involved in relief efforts. The National Development and Reform Commission has provided financial support for disaster relief. The flooding, triggered by persistent rainstorms since June 24, has resulted in fatalities.
