Raipur, December 03, 2025// Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai was courteously met today at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan by Shri Jagdish V Parikh, a representative of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS). During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the special efforts being made in the field of higher education in the state and new possibilities.
Shri Parikh informed the Chief Minister about the institute’s proposal to establish its campus in EduCity, Naya Raipur. He also shared information about the courses and academic activities conducted by NMIMS. Additionally, Shri Parikh informed him about his meeting with the Minister for Housing and Environment, Shri OP Chaudhary, and mentioned that all possible departmental cooperation would be received through him.
Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that the state government is developing EduCity in Naya Raipur with the resolve to provide quality higher education. He said that through EduCity, the youth of the state will get the opportunity to study in excellent national-level institutions and will not need to go to big cities. He added that the establishment of a prestigious institute like Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies will provide quality higher education in the fields of management and engineering to the state’s youth. The operation of national and international institutions in EduCity will give a new direction to the skill development of the youth and create better employment opportunities.
It is noteworthy that the state government is constructing EduCity to develop Naya Raipur as an educational hub. The establishment of a multi-disciplinary university, research center, incubation hub, digital library, science and innovation center, and state-of-the-art laboratories is proposed here. This will provide opportunities for national and international level education, research, and startups to the state’s youth.
Naya Raipur already has prestigious institutions like IIIT, IIM, and National Law University operating. With the development of EduCity, a strong and modern educational ecosystem will be created here.
During this occasion, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Rahul Bhagat, Chief Executive Officer of Naya Raipur Development Authority Shri Chandan Kumar, and other senior officials were present.
