Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath minced no words in calling out Congress for disseminating fake news about breaking temples in Kashi. Addressing a massive crowd, he portrayed the accusations as a calculated smear campaign against his administration’s holy city makeover.

Varanasi’s landscape has changed dramatically since Yogi took charge. What was once a maze of dilapidated structures is now a model of planned urban development intertwined with spirituality. Yogi clarified that operations targeted only unauthorized constructions, safeguarding every shrine.

He backed his stance with ground reports, photos, and administrative orders proving temples’ intact status post-works. ‘Congress leaders should visit Kashi themselves instead of spreading venom from afar,’ he quipped, eliciting applause.

This political slugfest highlights deeper ideological clashes. While BJP champions ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ with cultural emphasis, Congress is accused of exploiting religious sentiments for electoral gains.

Yogi wrapped up by announcing fresh projects for temple upkeep and pilgrim facilities, signaling business as usual. Public sentiment appears aligned with the CM, viewing Congress’ tactics as outdated and ineffective in the digital age of fact-checking.
