As Palamu grappled with a severe cold wave, a compassionate initiative by the ‘Nayi Sanskriti Society’ and ‘Sanskar’ brought much-needed relief to hundreds of underprivileged individuals in Nimia village (Ward 3). The joint distribution of blankets provided a vital shield against the freezing temperatures.

Chief guest Ashish Bhardwaj praised the sustained humanitarian efforts. “We’ve been committed to distributing blankets every winter for the past five years,” Bhardwaj explained. “This year, due to the extreme cold, we are conducting these distributions daily throughout Medininagar. Our teams also venture out late at night to check on and assist those sleeping on the streets, offering them blankets.” He elaborated on the essence of service, stating, “The fundamental human calling is benevolence. What truly defines us is our capacity for kindness, not material wealth. As the weather worsens, we must look out for one another. This city is our shared abode, and its inhabitants are our responsibility. I am fulfilling this duty through my actions. My affection for this place and its people motivates me to contribute meaningfully. Life gains its true essence when we serve others; a life lived solely for oneself is ultimately unfulfilled.”

Bhardwaj continued, “Contributing to our community is a form of national service. Organizations like Sanskar and Nayi Sanskriti are making a tangible positive difference, and I am honored to stand with them. I promise my complete support for their future initiatives.” Vinod Agrawal, a distinguished guest, expressed his appreciation, saying, “Efforts to reach the truly needy are exemplary, and societal participation is crucial for such causes.” Representatives from the organizing groups articulated their mission. Vishal Kumar, President of Nayi Sanskriti Society, declared, “Our commitment is to the most marginalized. We aim to prevent suffering from the cold and will expand our reach.” Subhadra Dwivedi, Secretary of Sanskar, emphasized, “Social advancement is our core value. Providing comfort to the elderly and needy in winter is a noble act. We will continue striving for positive societal transformation.” The event was a success, thanks to the dedication of volunteers and the support of the local community.
