Over 1300 individuals received free medical treatment during a recent two-day health camp at St. Columbus Mission Hospital in Hazaribagh. The hospital, located conveniently opposite the Rabindra Path electricity office, provided free consultations, blood pressure checks, cancer screenings, and medications to 1323 needy patients over the course of the event. The health fair offered a wide array of services, including dental and eye care, blood sugar and hemoglobin level testing, and expert advice from neurologists. Patients also enjoyed substantial discounts on crucial diagnostic tests like ultrasounds, ensuring affordability. The initiative saw a significant turnout from children, women, and men seeking essential healthcare. Speaking about the camp’s purpose, Dr. Praveen Srinivasan, the hospital’s director, emphasized the importance of reaching out to every segment of society with quality healthcare, especially those who find it difficult to afford timely medical attention. He assured the community that the hospital remains dedicated to organizing similar health awareness programs and medical camps to meet their health needs. The event was made possible by the diligent work of the hospital’s specialist doctors and healthcare professionals.
