The Indian automotive industry is anticipating a dynamic period in the coming months, marked by the arrival of several new models. The sub-4 meter SUV segment is poised for expansion, with Hyundai, Renault, and Tata preparing to introduce the new-generation Venue, an updated Kiger, and the Punch facelift.

The new Renault Kiger facelift is scheduled for launch on August 24. The third-generation Hyundai Venue is expected to be available for sale starting October 24. The launch date for the new Tata Punch facelift is yet to be announced; however, it is anticipated to coincide with the Diwali season.

    Renault Kiger Facelift
The official teasers showcase a slightly revised rear profile for the new Kiger. This compact SUV is expected to receive minor updates to both its interior and exterior, while retaining its existing 1.0-liter naturally aspirated and turbo petrol engine options. As with the current model, the CNG option will be available as a retrofit. The interior of the 2025 Renault Kiger may incorporate a new freestanding touchscreen, refreshed seat upholstery, and new trim elements. Most of the design modifications are expected to be concentrated on the front.

    New-Gen Hyundai Venue
The new-generation Hyundai Venue, internally designated QU2i, will feature substantial enhancements to its styling and interior design. The updated feature set could include ventilated front seats, a larger display screen, a panoramic sunroof, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) technology. The 2025 Hyundai Venue will draw inspiration from the Creta and Alcazar in terms of its design. The model will be available with the existing 1.0-liter turbo, 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol, and 1.5-liter diesel engine choices.

    Tata Punch Facelift
Both the Tata Punch and Punch EV are slated for a mid-cycle refresh in October 2025. Spy shots indicate that the updated Punch will feature a redesigned front grille, slimmer headlamps, and a new LED DRL signature. It may also incorporate new alloy wheels. Inside, this compact SUV is expected to include a new two-spoke steering wheel sourced from the recently launched Altroz facelift, a larger touchscreen display, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a touch-based HVAC control panel. The 2025 Tata Punch will continue to utilize its current engine configuration.
