Court to Rule on Priya Sachdev Kapur’s Plea to Conceal Sunjay Kapur’s Assets

Kapur is requesting that the court’s direction to disclose the assets as of his death be altered. She proposes that the asset details be kept confidential in a sealed cover, and that Karisma Kapoor’s children sign a non-disclosure agreement, citing concerns about the sensitive nature of the financial information. The court has indicated that there may be no grounds for such confidentiality and that it could prejudice the defense. Saurav Agarwal, representing Karisma Kapoor’s children, has stated that the request for secrecy appears to be an attempt to avoid scrutiny of the assets, with some bank accounts already emptied. The court is scheduled to decide tomorrow on the critical matter of whether such information should be kept private in partition proceedings.
