He picked her up and rode towards a forest. When she inquired about their destination, he instructed her to dismount.
She followed his instruction. Two of his friends then appeared. The three men forced her into the depths of the forest. There, they gang-raped her. The woman’s desperate screams were ignored. She threatened to report them to the police and have them incarcerated. In response, they subjected her to a severe beating before strangling her to death with a scarf.
Her body was placed in a sack, securely tied, and disposed of in a water-filled drain. This horrific event unfolded in Korba, Chhattisgarh. **Skeleton Discovered 24 Days After the Crime**
The police took Umendra Prasad Binjhia, aged 45, into custody, as he was last seen with the woman. Umendra confessed to the crime, revealing that he, along with two other men, Santram (28) and Gulam Singh, gang-raped and murdered his girlfriend. Based on his confession, the police recovered her skeleton 24 days after the incident. The body had undergone decomposition.
