Vadodara’s BCA Stadium witnessed a bowling masterclass from Delhi Capitals as they skittled Royal Challengers Bengaluru for just 109 runs in a key Women’s Premier League 2026 fixture. RCB, invincible with five victories and playoff qualification, lost the toss and batted first on a surface offering assistance to bowlers.

Openers Smriti Mandhana and Grace Harris laid a platform of 36 runs in the powerplay. Harris contributed 9 runs off 13 balls with a couple of fours. Mandhana then accelerated, crafting a classy 38 from 34 balls—replete with six boundaries and a six—in a 26-run stand with Georgia Voll.

The momentum shifted dramatically after Mandhana’s dismissal. RCB lost wickets in clusters, with Radha Yadav’s 18 off 17 (1×6) standing out as the sole fightback. Only two players crossed 10 runs, underscoring a catastrophic collapse.

Nandini Sharma’s three wickets spearheaded DC’s attack, with Chinelle Henry, Marizanne Kapp, and Minnu Mani grabbing two apiece. Sri Charani accounted for one. Captained by Jemimah Rodrigues, fourth-placed DC (2 wins from 5) seek to overturn their January 17 loss to RCB and solidify standings.

With a low target of 110, Capitals’ lineup including Shafali Verma, Laura Wolvaardt, and Sneha Rana holds the edge. RCB’s campaign, led by Mandhana alongside Richa Ghosh and Ellyse Perry equivalents, faces its sternest test yet.
