Parliamentary protests turned chaotic in Delhi when TMC MPs clashed with police during a vehement rally against ED’s probe operations. The event, organized spontaneously post-raids in Kolkata, highlighted simmering resentments within the INDIA bloc.

Gathering outside Jantar Mantar, the protesters – clad in TMC’s green and white – raised fists against what they branded as ‘federal overreach.’ Speeches lambasted the ED for selective targeting, citing stalled probes against BJP allies as proof of bias. ‘Raids on us, but hugs for their corrupt?’ quipped one MP, igniting cheers.

Police intervention was immediate and firm. Using minimal force, they detained key participants, ferrying them to nearby stations amid opposition chants of ‘Dictatorship!’ The action prevented the protest from swelling but fueled accusations of suppressing dissent.

Back in Kolkata, TMC orchestrated solidarity marches, while Banerjee fired salvos on social media. The party claims over 50 raids in recent months, all politically motivated. ED counters with dossiers on money laundering trails implicating TMC bigwigs.

As night fell, detained leaders were slated for release on personal bonds, but not before vowing intensified resistance. This skirmish amplifies calls for agency reforms and judicial oversight. In the broader canvas of Indian politics, it signals an emboldened opposition gearing up for 2024 showdowns.
