The Kanwar Yatra, which concluded on July 23rd, brought significant challenges to Delhi-NCR and neighboring areas. Since its commencement on July 11, the pilgrimage resulted in major traffic snarls and road closures, impacting daily commuters. Schools and colleges adapted by shifting to online classes, affecting students and parents. Various instances of vandalism and confrontations involving Kanwariyas also occurred, causing public concern. Authorities took steps to mitigate the disruptions, including implementing alternate routes and dedicated corridors for the pilgrims. The UP Chief Minister has vowed action against any individuals involved in violence or misconduct. As the Yatra comes to an end, residents anticipate a return to normal traffic and daily routines by Thursday.
