    The monsoon season is active, with rainfall occurring across the country, varying from light to heavy. Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are dealing with the impact of heavy rains, creating difficult conditions. Delhi-NCR experienced a change in the weather this morning, with cloudy skies. Heavy rain in several areas has created a similar atmosphere to nighttime. Intense rainfall began at 5 AM in several areas of Delhi-NCR. The weather department anticipates rain throughout the day in the capital, expecting light to moderate showers.

    Delhi-NCR will have mostly cloudy conditions. Showers and thunderstorms are likely in the afternoon, with the potential for increasing intensity in the evening. The weather department suggests that August 15th may be mostly cloudy with the possibility of rain or thunderstorms. Rainfall is expected to continue in Delhi until August 19th.

    The weather department has issued a heavy rain alert for many districts in Uttar Pradesh. Heavy rain is expected in western UP today. Lightning strikes could happen in several districts. Monsoon activity is expected to increase over the next 48 hours. The majority of the state may have light to moderate rain, with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas.

    Bihar is experiencing active monsoon conditions. Heavy rain occurred in Patna and several other districts on Wednesday. The weather department predicts the weather in the state won’t change in the next three to four days. Partial to heavy rainfall is possible in the various districts, and thunderstorms are also possible.

    A low-pressure area exists over west-central India and the adjacent north-west Bay of Bengal off the coasts of northern Andhra Pradesh and southern Odisha. The weather department anticipates heavy to very heavy rainfall in Odisha, Chhattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, and Telangana from August 14th to 17th. Extremely heavy rain is forecast in Yanam today.

    The weather will not be improving in Uttarakhand today, and a red alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall has been issued. Heavy to very heavy rain is possible in Bageshwar, Champawat, Dehradun, Haridwar, Nainital, Pauri, Tehri, and Udham Singh Nagar. Himachal Pradesh is also facing heavy rainfall, with the weather department issuing an alert for light to heavy rain over the next six to seven days. An orange alert is in place for Shimla, Kangra, Mandi, Sirmaur, and Chamba. Jammu and Kashmir will have rain until August 18th, with heavy rain expected today and tomorrow.
