Following the recent rains in May that provided cooler temperatures, Delhi and several other states are now under a heatwave. The temperature in Delhi reached 45 degrees Celsius on Monday, bringing intense heat throughout the day. The NCR region is experiencing scorching weather due to clear skies and strong sunshine. High temperatures are expected to persist, with the maximum reaching 44 degrees Celsius and the minimum 29 degrees Celsius, alongside potential dust storms and heatwave conditions until June 12. The weather department forecasts rain starting June 13.

Uttar Pradesh is experiencing intense heat as well. The weather department has issued an orange alert for heatwave conditions in several districts. Rain is anticipated to return from tomorrow, with an alert for rain and thunderstorms in many districts on June 12.

Bihar is not expected to experience relief from the heat today, but the weather is expected to change later tonight. Heavy rainfall is predicted from tomorrow, with the arrival of the monsoon, which is expected to reach Bihar by June 15. Light rain is possible in some districts tonight. Jharkhand is also expected to see a weather change today, with strong winds and rain expected in numerous districts until June 14.

Rajasthan is again experiencing high temperatures, with Sri Ganganagar recording a high of 47.3 degrees Celsius. The weather department predicts dry conditions and heatwave in most of western Rajasthan for the next week. Light rain is possible in the Kota and Bharatpur divisions on June 15-16.
