Continuous rainfall in Delhi, starting from Friday night, lasted throughout Saturday, significantly cooling the weather. The day remained remarkably pleasant, with no sense of heat for the residents. Saturday, August 9th, was the coldest day in August in the past 30 years. The weather department has issued alerts for further rainfall in Delhi.

The maximum temperature expected in Delhi today is 29 degrees Celsius, and the minimum is 24 degrees Celsius. The weather department has forecasted rain for the next six days, including a heavy rain alert for August 13th. While the rain has improved the climate, it has also led to waterlogging in various parts of Delhi, resulting in road flooding. Traffic was severely impacted on Raksha Bandhan due to water accumulation, leading to significant delays and inconvenience.
