The Aam Aadmi Party has unleashed a tirade against the Delhi administration for offloading Bhalswa landfill waste onto rural lands, branding it a public health time bomb. Provincial president Saurabh Bharadwaj leveled direct charges at CM Rekha Gupta, stating her orders have unleashed a fleet of trucks ferrying hazardous waste to peaceful villages.

Posting explosive video evidence online, Bharadwaj detailed how recyclable and toxic materials from Bhalswa’s garbage peaks are now poisoning Delhi Dehat. ‘The CM vowed to dismantle these landfills, yet here we are—shifting filth to rural doorsteps, ensuring villages suffer the consequences of city negligence,’ he remarked.

An AAP activist in the video narrates the scale: thousands of trucks targeting Karala, with similar dumps looming for Mundka, Bawana, Kanjhawala, and more. The waste cocktail of plastics, polybags, and glass poses severe risks, from groundwater pollution to chronic illnesses, potentially transforming verdant areas into disease hotspots.

Criticizing 15 years of MCD mismanagement under multiple regimes, AAP warns this is no accident but a calculated move by the ‘four-engine’ setup to evade scrutiny. The party has formally demanded the CM address the issue, safeguard rural ecosystems, and implement genuine waste management reforms.

This episode reignites debates on Delhi’s perennial waste woes, pressing for innovative solutions like advanced segregation and biogas plants to prevent future betrayals of public trust.
