    The monsoon is impacting weather conditions across the nation. The weather department has alerted that a new low-pressure area is developing in the Bay of Bengal within the next day. This system is predicted to bring heavy rainfall from east to west India. Delhi-NCR saw torrential rain on Saturday night, and more rain is anticipated in the capital today.

    The weather department predicts cloudy skies and light to moderate rain for Delhi today. There is a forecast for thunderstorms with lightning and light to moderate rain this morning and afternoon. According to the weather department, the periods of storms and rain in Delhi may extend until August 29.

    Uttar Pradesh is under a heavy rain alert. The weather department has issued a heavy rainfall alert for 40 districts. Heavy rainfall may occur in some areas late in the evening or at night. There may be a reduction in the intensity of rain in the state starting August 26.

    Odisha experienced heavy rainfall on Saturday, and heavy rainfall is anticipated for the next few days. West Bengal and Jharkhand may receive rain for the next 3 to 4 days. Rain is likely in eastern Rajasthan today, while southern Rajasthan could see heavy rainfall until August 26. The weather department predicts heavy rainfall in Gujarat until August 29. Heavy rainfall is expected in Konkan and central Maharashtra until August 29, with torrential rain in some areas on August 27 and 28.

    An orange alert is in effect for Uttarakhand. The weather department advises people to stay alert for the next 24 to 72 hours. Districts like Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Nainital, Almora, Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, and Udham Singh Nagar are likely to experience very heavy rainfall and thunderstorms. Pithoragarh is also expected to see rain.
