Satya Rajput, Raipur. Now a statement has come out from the District Education Officer on thousands of books found in Hindu High School. According to District Education Officer Vijay Khandewal, what was revealed by former MLA Vikas Upadhyay is completely wrong.

Let us tell you that former MLA Vikas Upadhyay had first exposed the issue of books being found in the paper mill located in Silairi, after that he has exposed the finding of books in Abhanpur Swami Atmanand School and today in Hindu High School.

Congress MLA Vikas Upadhyay alleges that lakhs of books have been thrown into the trash in the same manner across the state. The special thing is that the books are from this year. The books which should have been among the poor children were being found among the junk. Somewhere, this is a game of corruption worth crores. Everyone from bottom to top is complicit in this corruption.

According to District Education Officer Dr. Khandelwal, these books found during inspection belong to Chhattisgarh State Open Board, which have been kept for distribution. He clarified that these books are going to be distributed to the eligible students and the process is still going on. Furthermore, he pointed out that some of the books relate to holistic education, which have been placed in schools as samples by former publishers, and are not meant for distribution to children. He also said that some books belong to the professional curriculum of the session 2022-23, which were left after distribution to the children and due to the introduction of the new curriculum, they have now become unusable.

Dr. Khandelwal clarified that this school is also the coordination center and cluster center of the Open Examination Board, where books are kept for various government purposes for teaching from class 1 to 12. He said that keeping government books in the government premises is a normal process, in which no government rule has been violated. However, even after this statement of Dr. Khandelwal, many questions are being raised.

The question is that if the work of book distribution continues, does it continue throughout the year? How do children study without books? According to sources in the Education Department, the provision for book distribution was made before the school opened. In such a situation, if there was negligence in distribution, then why was no action taken against it? These issues remain a matter of concern for the education department.
