    The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is a key player in the Indian automotive market, particularly in the premium hatchback category. Its popularity is increasing, and the vehicle includes important safety features, such as six airbags. The car received a 4-star rating in the Bharat NCAP crash test, affirming its safety standards. In July 2025, sales reached 12,600 units, outperforming its competitors, including the Hyundai i20, Toyota Glanza, and Tata Altroz. The ex-showroom price for the car begins at ₹6.70 lakh. Strong sales were recorded for the Baleno during the first ten months of the fiscal year 2025, selling a total of 1,39,324 units from April 2024 to January 2025. The Baleno is driven by a 1.2-liter four-cylinder K12N petrol engine that generates 83 bhp. Furthermore, there’s an alternative option featuring a 1.2-liter dual jet petrol engine, capable of producing 90 bhp. The car offers both manual and automatic transmission choices. The Baleno CNG model incorporates a 1.2-liter dual jet petrol engine. Safety features comprise a 360-degree camera (exclusive to the Alpha trim), seat belts with hill hold assist, brake assist, ISOFIX anchorage, and other safety enhancements. The 2025 Maruti Baleno series persists with the 1.2-liter petrol engine, delivering 90 bhp, and is combined with either a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. Furthermore, this hatchback is available with a factory-installed CNG kit, exclusive to the Delta and Zeta trims. The Baleno incorporates a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro Plus touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, six airbags, an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), hill-start assist, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchorage, a reversing camera, and rear parking sensors.
