The Indian film fraternity is united in grief as it mourns the loss of its beloved “He-Man,” Dharmendra, who passed away at the age of 89 on November 24, 2025, following a prolonged illness. A true icon of Hindi cinema, Dharmendra’s career spanned over sixty years and featured in more than 300 films, establishing him as one of the most charismatic and influential stars of his generation.
Beyond his celebrated acting career, Dharmendra was a remarkably successful businessman, amassing an impressive fortune estimated between Rs 335 crore and Rs 450 crore. This substantial wealth is a testament to his foresight and diverse business interests.
Dharmendra is survived by his wives, Prakash Kaur and Hema Malini, and his six children: Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Vijeta, Ajeeta, Esha Deol, and Ahana Deol. He was also a loving grandfather to 13 grandchildren, cherishing his family connections throughout his life.

He also owned extensive residential and commercial properties across Maharashtra, along with agricultural land. His passion for automobiles was reflected in his collection of both modern and classic vehicles.
His entrepreneurial spirit also extended to producing films, including the successful ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’ series. Dharmendra’s remarkable journey from earning a meager Rs 51 for his debut to building a multi-crore empire stands as a profound source of inspiration.
