Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio has joined the chorus of tributes for the late Diane Keaton, reflecting on his positive experiences working with the beloved actress. Their shared history includes the 1996 film ‘Marvin’s Room,’ a project that clearly left a lasting impression on DiCaprio.

Expressing his deep respect, DiCaprio described Keaton as “one of a kind” in a recent Instagram Story post accompanied by a photo from their younger days. He lauded her as “Brilliant, funny, and unapologetically herself,” and further elevated her status by calling her “A legend, an icon, and a truly kind human being.” He expressed his gratitude for having had the “honor of working with her at 18” and affirmed that “She will be deeply missed.”

The drama ‘Marvin’s Room,’ directed by Jerry Zaks, cast Keaton as Bessie, the maternal figure to DiCaprio’s troubled teenage character, Hank. The film boasted an all-star cast, including Meryl Streep and Robert De Niro.

In a charming instance of mistaken identity shared in 2021, Keaton mistakenly identified Reese Witherspoon’s son, Deacon Phillippe, as a young Leonardo DiCaprio in a social media post celebrating male beauty. Her fond commentary about knowing him “when he was a kid” was met with good-natured correction from Witherspoon, creating a humorous and memorable interaction that showcased Keaton’s unique charm.
