    Dinesh Karthik, a former Indian cricketer and now a cricket commentator, has raised questions regarding Shubman Gill’s readiness to captain the Indian Test team, particularly in the upcoming series against England. Karthik believes Gill may not yet fully grasp the responsibilities and challenges of being a Test captain, especially in the challenging conditions of England. He noted the difficulties faced by many strong teams in England. Karthik also noted England’s bowling as a possible weak point that India can take advantage of. Gill has a Test record of 1,893 runs in 51 innings with an average of 35.05. He has scored five centuries and seven half-centuries.
