    Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently in Japan on a two-day visit, where he is participating in the 15th India-Japan Annual Summit. Following his Japan engagements, he will travel to China to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit. The primary goals of this trip are to strengthen technological and investment ties with Japan and to address multilateral issues at the SCO summit. Discussions on fostering positive relations with China are anticipated.

    During the Japan visit, Prime Minister Modi is participating in the 15th annual summit. This summit, at the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, will concentrate on moving the Special Strategic and Global Partnership forward. Key discussions will center around expanding economic and investment ties, as well as encouraging cooperation in areas like AI and semiconductors. He also plans to reinforce the cultural and civilizational partnership between India and Japan.

    After his visit to Japan, Prime Minister Modi will travel to Tianjin, China, to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit, at the invitation of President Xi Jinping. He emphasized India’s active and constructive role within the SCO, highlighting the promotion of innovation, health, and cultural exchange under its chairmanship. Bilateral meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Putin, and other influential figures are planned.

    The Prime Minister is optimistic that this tour will reinforce India’s national objectives, while also encouraging regional and global peace, security, and sustainable development.
