Brahmdev Prasad, the Station Chief of Argodah Police Station in Ranchi, has been suspended by Zonal Inspector General Manoj Kaushik. This immediate suspension is a direct consequence of allegations of a brutal assault on a youth who was held in the station’s lock-up. The incident has cast a shadow over police conduct in the area. Following the initial reports, the Senior Superintendent of Police had already taken disciplinary action against Sub-Inspector Diwakar Singh.
