There was ruckus and heavy stone pelting in Indore.
Naiduniya, Indore. There was a dispute between two communities over bursting of firecrackers in Chhatripura area of Indore. Some children were bursting crackers in the afternoon, which was stopped by the youth standing nearby. The dispute escalated over this and both the parties came face to face. Stone pelting also took place on both sides. A dozen people also got injured during stone pelting. People overturned four to five vehicles and set them on fire. The police force remained gathered in Chhatripura area for four to four and a half hours and the area was converted into a cantonment.
This incident happened just 150 meters away from Chhatripura police station. As the dispute escalated, the police reached the spot, but by then the situation was out of control, forces from four nearby police stations were also called to handle the situation, so that the situation could be controlled.
