In the second innings, India recovered after an early setback, with KL Rahul (90) and Shubman Gill (103) leading the charge. The Indian batters applied significant pressure on the England bowlers.
Washington Sundar (101) scored a maiden century, and Ravindra Jadeja (107) also contributed with a century.
In the first innings, India scored 358 runs, with contributions from Yashasvi Jaiswal (58), KL Rahul (46), Sai Sudharsan (61), Rishabh Pant (54), and Shardul Thakur (41). Rishabh Pant was injured during the first day and was diagnosed with a toe fracture, which resulted in him taking rest for six weeks. However, he still returned to bat and scored a half-century.
