Amarjit Singh Dulat, former head of India’s RAW, has expressed his support for improved relations with Pakistan, following Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir’s meeting in the US. Dulat has suggested that a meeting between Munir and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi could be a positive step towards thawing the currently strained relations. Dulat acknowledged the difficulties but also expressed hope, recalling Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Pakistan in the past. Dulat proposed that Munir meet Modi in India, possibly at Hyderabad House, and later visit Amritsar. Dulat pointed out that the lunch hosted for the Field Marshal in the US was a significant development and could be replicated. He congratulated Pakistan and urged for further progress in the relationship between the two countries.
