Defense Minister Rajnath Singh celebrated Vijaya Dashami with the Indian armed forces in Bhuj, Gujarat, participating in a traditional ‘Bada Khana’ and addressing the troops. Singh discussed the quickly evolving global landscape and the complex, contemporary challenges faced by the forces.

He emphasized the rapid evolution of technology, noting that what was once considered cutting-edge becomes outdated quickly. Singh highlighted that along with traditional threats, the emergence of terrorism, cyberattacks, drone warfare, and information warfare pose multifaceted risks. He stated that these modern challenges necessitate mental fortitude, updated knowledge, and swift adaptability, alongside conventional military capabilities.

Offering Vijaya Dashami wishes, the Defense Minister described the festival as a celebration of good triumphing over evil and acknowledged the bravery and resilience of the soldiers in Bhuj. He encouraged soldiers to prioritize continuous training, embrace new technologies, and be prepared for all situations.

He underscored that wars are won through discipline, morale, and constant readiness, not just through weaponry. Singh urged the soldiers to adapt to new technologies and integrate training into their daily routines, emphasizing that the army that continually learns and adapts remains undefeated. The minister reassured the soldiers of the government’s unwavering commitment to their welfare, modernization, the respect of veterans, and the safety of soldiers’ families.

He emphasized the immense importance of the soldiers’ well-being, highlighting that the dream of a strong, self-reliant, and developed India is built upon their dedication and sacrifice. Singh proclaimed that the 21st century is India’s century, adding that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the country is moving rapidly toward self-reliance in defense. He expressed confidence that with the commitment of the armed forces, India will soon be home to one of the finest armies in the world.
