East Singhbhum Crime: Musician Tauquir ‘Gora’ Fatally Shot

A brazen act of violence in Shastri Nagar, Kadma, has left the community shaken after Tauquir alias Gora was shot and killed by unidentified assailants on Thursday night. The victim was standing near the mosque on Shastri Nagar Road Number-2 when two men on a motorcycle launched a violent attack. Initial reports indicate a struggle involving sharp weapons preceded the shooting. Multiple bullets struck Tauquir, causing him to collapse. He was transported to TMH but tragically passed away. Investigators recovered spent bullet cartridges from the scene and are meticulously reviewing CCTV footage to identify the attackers. Tauquir was a known associate of the ‘Mardana Gang’ and had prior run-ins with the law, having been recently released from jail. While gang rivalry is a suspected motive, police are keeping an open mind as they conduct a thorough investigation. The SSP assured the public of immediate action to apprehend those responsible.
