East Tech Symposium-2025: A Platform for Defense Sector Growth in Jharkhand

The “East Tech Symposium-2025” (Defence Expo) was inaugurated at the Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium in Ranchi by Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Chief Minister Hemant Soren. The Chief Minister emphasized the event’s importance, noting that the Ministry of Defence organized it. He expressed his belief that the event would contribute to the defense sector. He stated that Jharkhand has a lot to offer to the country and that there are vast opportunities for the expansion of the defense sector. He said that his government is committed to working with the central government to make the defense sector self-reliant. He acknowledged the presence of raw materials and uranium in Jharkhand and also highlighted the industrial establishments in the state including HEC. He expressed concern over HEC’s current situation. He also assured the state government’s full cooperation to the defense sector.
