AUDI to deal with electrical autos from 2033: Official

German luxurious automotive maker Audi could be focusing solely on electrical autos by 2033 and would cease making vehicles run on worldwide combustion engines (ICE), a prime official mentioned on Tuesday.

Audi India Head Balbir Singh Dhillon mentioned the auto main would cease manufacturing of present fashions powered by ICE and would begin transition to promote solely electrical autos from 2033 onwards.

Dhillon clarified that the corporate would manufacture all the present fashions fitted with petrol engine and would retail until 2032 for its transition to electrical autos.

Responding to a question about incidents of battery operated autos going up in flames, he mentioned all of the elements for the battery have been introduced individually and assembled on the factories by skilled professionals with utmost regard for ‘safety’ and ‘quality’.
