Co-founders’ sons to steer Emami in April
FMCG agency Emami has introduced a succession plan with the founders RS Agarwal and RS Goenka donning the position of mentors and the following era taking the driving force’s seat.
Effective April 1, Harsha V Agarwal (45) and Mohan Goenka (49), sons of the 2 co-founders and at present whole-time administrators on the firm, will take over as vice chairman & MD and vice chairman & whole-time director, respectively, topic to shareholder approval, Emami stated.
Harsha is the son of RS Agarwal, whereas Mohan is RS Goenka’s son.
The co-founders expressed their want to step down from their present government positions whereas persevering with on the board, Emami stated.
The board determined to nominate Goenka Non-executive Chairman whereas re-designating Agarwal as Chairman Emeritus from April 1. The two won’t settle for any emoluments from the agency for taking on their new positions.
