Dearness Allowance (DA) hiked by 3% for central govt staff, pensioners
The Union Cabinet on Wednesday authorised a hike of three per cent in dearness allowance (DA) for central authorities staff and dearness reduction (DR) for pensioners over the present price of 31 per cent of the fundamental pay/pension.

The determination was taken within the Cabinet assembly chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The new charges of DA and DR shall be efficient from January 1, 2022, the federal government mentioned in a press assertion.
“This increase is in accordance with the accepted formula, which is based on the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission,” the federal government mentioned.
The mixed affect on the exchequer on account of each DA and DR could be Rs.9,544.50 crore every year.
The transfer is about to profit about 47.68 lakh central authorities staff and 68.62 lakh pensioners.
Prior to this hike, DA and DR have been raised by 3 per cent to 31 per cent by the Cabinet in October final yr.
