‘Economy looking at V-shaped recovery’: Anurag Thakur
Green shoots seen throughout numerous sectors of the financial system and the nation is already a ‘V-shaped’ restoration, Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs Anurag Thakur stated on Saturday.
Addressing a digital conclave organised by the Institute of Actuaries of India, Thakur stated, “India is already looking at ‘V-shaped’ recovery. Along with the green shoots in various sectors, in the month of February, FPI inflows were Rs 25,787 crore.”
After two straight quarters of contraction, the nation’s gross home product (GDP) entered the optimistic territory with a development of 0.4 per cent through the October-December quarter of the continuing 2020-21 fiscal, in response to the information launched by the National Statistical Office (NSO) in February.
Thakur additional stated the nation’s overseas trade reserves, which have been rising steadilyover the previous couple of months, had touched all time excessive at $590 billion in January 2021.
He stated the accretion to the foreign exchange reserves within the final eight month was $100 billion.
