Govt hikes Dearness Allowance (DA) by 3% for central workers and pensioners
The Union Cabinet on Thursday accredited a hike of three per cent in dearness allowance (DA) for central authorities workers and dearness aid (DR) for pensioners over the prevailing price of 28 per cent of the essential pay/pension.
The choice was taken within the assembly of the Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The new charges of DA and DR will likely be efficient from 1st July 2021.
Briefing reporters in regards to the Cabinet choices, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Singh Thakur stated the choice will profit 47.14 lakh central authorities workers and 68.62 lakh pensioners.
Meanwhile, an official assertion stated, “This increase is in accordance with the accepted formula, which is based on the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission.”
“The combined impact on the exchequer on account of both Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief would be Rs 9,488.70 crore per annum,” the assertion stated.
In one other choice, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) accredited the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan together with the institutional framework for rolling out, implementation, monitoring and help mechanism for offering multi-modal connectivity.
