ITR verification: Here’s the final date to confirm for AY 2020-21
The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has determined to offer one-time rest for the verification of e-filed Income Tax Returns that are pending e-verification.
ITRs for earnings earned within the monetary 12 months 2019-20 was filed within the evaluation 12 months 2020-21.
Once an ITR is filed, it must be verified inside 120 days of submitting to finish the method, failing which the ITR is taken into account defunct.
An ITR will be verified electronically by means of web banking, Aadhaar-based one-time-password (OTP), Demat account, pre-validated checking account and ATM.
Alternatively, taxpayers can put up a self-attested copy of the ITR acknowledgement receipt to the Centralised Processing Centre (CPC) workplace in Bengaluru.

Out of the full ITRs filed for AY 2021-22, 49.6% of those are ITR1 (2.92 crore), 9.3% are ITR2 (54.8 lakh), 12.1% are ITR3 (71.05 lakh), 27.2% are ITR4 (1.60 crore), 1.3% are ITR5 (7.66 lakh), ITR6 (2.58 lakh) and ITR7 (0.67 lakh). Over 45.7% of those ITRs have been filed utilizing the web ITR kind on the portal and the steadiness have been uploaded utilizing the ITR created from the offline software program utilities.
