Nokia, Foxconn amongst international corporations to profit from India’s telecom PLI scheme of Rs 3,345 cr

The Department of Telecom on Thursday authorized 31 proposals entailing an funding of Rs 3,345 crore over the subsequent 4 and a half years.

The firms chosen for the PLI scheme embrace Nokia India, HFCL, Dixon Technologies, Flextronics, Foxconn, Coral Telecom, VVDN Technologies, Akashastha Technologies, and GS India.
The DoT notified the PLI scheme for telecom and networking merchandise on February 24, 2021, with a monetary outlay of Rs 12,195 crore, over the 5 years.
