The Election Commission (EC) has responded to allegations of inaccuracies within Bihar’s voter list, specifically addressing claims made by Tejashwi Yadav and a retired IAS officer. The issue centers on the draft voter list released as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign. Yadav had highlighted a post by Vyas Ji, alleging that the former IAS officer and his wife’s names were missing from the list. The EC has refuted these claims, asserting that both names were included in the draft voter list published on August 1, 2025. Vyas Ji described his experience on Facebook, explaining his attempt to locate his and his wife’s names. Despite having completed and submitted the necessary paperwork, he was instructed to contact his BLO. He voiced his concerns about the system’s fairness, particularly for those with less education. Additionally, the EC denied Yadav’s claim that his name was missing from the list, confirming its presence at serial number 416. Yadav had attempted to find his name using his EPIC number during a press conference, but the search yielded no results, according to him, fueling his claims.
