    Newsroom Team: The Election Commission has announced the date of Jharkhand Assembly elections. Elections will be held in two phases in Jharkhand. The first phase of voting will be held on November 13, and the second phase of voting will be held on November 20. With the announcement of election dates, the Model Code of Conduct has come into force in the state.

    Counting will take place on 23 November. Voting will take place on 81 seats of Jharkhand Assembly. Of these, 44 seats are General, 28 are SC and 9 are ST.

    Before announcing the election dates, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that the total number of voters in the state is 2.6 crore. Out of which 1.9 crore are women voters. Whereas the number of male voters is 1.39 crore. The tenure of the government ends on January 5, 2025.
