Farmers in Lohardaga district are gaining new skills in beekeeping through a comprehensive training program. The Horticulture Department organized a three-day event in Utka village, Kairo, equipping 16 farmers with beekeeping essentials like hives and honey extractors. During the program, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Kumar Tarachand highlighted the district’s potential to excel in honey production, emphasizing the critical role of collective farming. He also advised on integrating animal husbandry and diverse farming methods to enhance farmer incomes. The district administration is committed to assisting these farmers in identifying and accessing lucrative markets for their increased honey output.
