Prabhas’s upcoming movie is facing new hurdles, potentially leading to another postponement before its release. This highly anticipated film, with a budget of ₹400 crore, was originally planned for an earlier release. However, it was later shifted to December, and now there are discussions about delaying it to the next year. The co-producers are now facing significant challenges because of this. According to a report published in The Economic Times, Ivy Entertainment, based in Delhi, has filed a petition against the co-producer People Media Factory Private Limited, accusing them of serious breaches of contract. Ivy Entertainment claims that People Media Factory did not fulfill various commitments, including completing the film and releasing it on time, providing regular production updates, and accounting for the use of funds. The company has stated that the release was postponed without valid reasons. Ivy Entertainment is seeking the return of their ₹218 crore investment, plus 18% annual interest. The agreements for acquiring the film rights were signed in early 2023. The petition also lists the names of key individuals and post-production houses involved. The current situation raises concerns about the film’s release and possible compromises.
