Netflix and TVF have dropped a moving trailer for ‘Hello Bachchoo’, a series rooted in the extraordinary tale of educator Alakh Pandey, whose online classes revolutionized learning for lakhs. Vineet Kumar Singh, stepping into this iconic role, describes it as one of his most cherished projects.
‘Hello Bachchoo’ masterfully interlaces a teacher’s quest for meaning with students’ search for self-belief,’ Vineet explained. ‘Playing a figure who has genuinely changed lives carries immense weight, but also gratitude. I’ve invested wholly, anticipating that audiences will embrace this tale of love, battles, and aspirations, mirroring countless student experiences across India.’
Under Prateesh Mehta’s direction, the show portrays five students’ poignant struggles: poverty’s grip on a boy, a girl’s constrained choices, a cricketer’s reluctant family pivot. Diverse yet dream-driven, they find strength through a pivotal teacher’s influence.
The ensemble includes Vikram Kochar, Girija Oak Godbole, and student actors Satendra Soni, Sonu Kumar Yadav, Anshul Dogra, Samta Sudiksha, Varun Buddhadev, and Naman Jain. Abhishek Yadav produces, with script by Ankit Yadav, Varnali, and Sandeep Singh—this TVF-Netflix gem shines bright.
TVF’s Arunabh Kumar shared, ‘A cherished project capturing teachers’ insights and students’ fights, fueled by true stories.’ Tanya Bami highlighted its inspirational core: ‘Celebrating students’ determination that uplifts all.’ Mehta’s sincere, cinematic touch promises impact.
Premiering March 6 on Netflix, ‘Hello Bachchoo’ is poised to inspire a new wave of dream-chasers.
