Actor Rajat Bedi has commented on the legal challenges facing ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood,’ a series directed by Aryan Khan and featuring Bedi himself. Former NCB official Sameer Wankhede has filed a defamation suit against Netflix and Red Chillies Entertainment, alleging the show maligns his reputation and law enforcement agencies. Bedi offered a sympathetic view of Aryan Khan, referring to him as ‘our kid’ and acknowledging his difficult experiences. He stated that while Wankhede is doing his job as a government representative, Aryan has been through a ‘tough phase.’ Bedi declined to elaborate further, noting the sub judice nature of the matter and his personal discomfort in commenting extensively. Wankhede’s suit contends that the series intentionally creates a negative and prejudicial portrayal, impacting public trust and unfairly targeting him during ongoing legal scrutiny. The Delhi High Court has issued notices to the involved parties.
