**Season 1: The Initial Quest** Tanjiro Kamado joins the Demon Slayer Corps after his family is killed and his sister Nezuko becomes a demon. **Mugen Train Movie: A Deadly Encounter** Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke, along with Kyojuro Rengoku, fight a demon on the Mugen Train. Kyojuro is badly injured and dies in the fight.

Tanjiro trains and finds a century-old sword. The village is attacked by the powerful demons Gyokko and Hantengu. Tanjiro, along with the two Hashiras and Genya, defeats the demons after a fierce battle. Nezuko gains the ability to withstand sunlight.
**Hashira Training Arc: Building Strength** The Hashira Training Arc introduces different Hashiras and their powers. Tanjiro trains with several Hashiras to strengthen himself. Viewers learn more about Kagaya Ubuyashiki, the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps. Kagaya and his wife are killed by Muzan, who also traps Tanjiro and others within the Infinity Castle, which then sets the plot for the upcoming movie.
