Emmys 2021: Michaela Coel wins for ‘I May Destroy You’, dedicates award to sexual assault survivors

LOS ANGELES: Actor-writer Michaela Coel scored an Emmy award within the excellent writing for a restricted sequence class for her hit and critically-acclaimed sequence “I May Destroy You” and devoted her win to “every single survivor of sexual assault”.
In the HBO present impressed by her personal story, Coel starred as Arabella, a younger lady who seeks to rebuild her life after she recollects being drugged and raped at a neighborhood nightclub. I dedicate this story to every single survivor of sexual assault,” she stated.
Coel was additionally nominated in three different classes for producing, directing and performing within the sequence.
