The Hindi film industry has been enriched by the contributions of many actors, including those who initially did not consider acting as a profession. Vinod Khanna, who acted in over 140 films, is one such example. His birth anniversary is a moment to reflect on his achievements. His journey began with a role in the movie ‘Man Ka Meet’ in 1968. The film was produced by Sunil Dutt and directed by Adurthi Subba Rao. During his initial days, Khanna was cast as a villain in the film. Upon sharing his first film offer with his father, he faced strong opposition. His father, Kishanchand Khanna, was against his son’s ambition to pursue a film career. According to Vinod Khanna, his father once pointed a gun at him and threatened to shoot him if he chose to become an actor. Despite the challenges, Khanna persevered and achieved significant success in Bollywood. His debut film offer came about after he met Sunil Dutt at a party. Sunil Dutt offered him a role immediately after seeing him. His mother intervened and asked for two years to allow Vinod to pursue his dream. After his first film, he signed 15 more movies in just one week.
