Mumbai, May 21. Actress Sharvari Wagh recently opened up about the special trip she took to Punjab while preparing for her next film. Traveling with her mother, she explored the state’s rich heritage, friendly locals, and mouth-watering cuisine. The journey proved to be an eye-opener for the Maharashtrian actress.
In conversation with IANS, Sharvari explained that director Imtiaz Ali’s heartfelt stories about Punjab pushed her to visit the place. She wanted to feel the culture instead of merely reading the script. Her days in Punjab were spent visiting historical monuments, savoring local food, and understanding the region’s history at the Partition Museum.
Sharvari said she treated the experience like a first-day student, soaking up every detail with excitement. She believes this hands-on approach helped her connect deeply with her character. The actress was particularly touched by the generosity and warmth of Punjab’s people.
Her upcoming film ‘Main Wapas Aaunga’ features Sharvari as a Punjabi woman opposite Vedang Raina. The movie is set to release across theaters on June 12.
