Javed Akhtar defamation case: Kangana Ranaut urges courtroom to document her sister’s assertion

Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut has approached a courtroom right here, requesting it to document the assertion of her sister Rangoli Chandel within the defamation criticism filed by veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar. Akhtar had filed the criticism within the courtroom in November 2020, claiming that Ranaut had made defamatory statements in opposition to him in a tv interview, which allegedly broken his status.

In his criticism, Akhtar claimed that Ranaut dragged his title throughout an interview whereas referring to a ‘coterie’ current in Bollywood, following the alleged suicide dedicated by actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Ranaut had additionally moved a counter criticism within the courtroom in opposition to Akhtar for alleged “extortion and criminal intimidation” earlier than the metropolitan Justice of the Peace courtroom.

The actor in her criticism in opposition to Akhtar stated following her public dispute along with her co-star, the lyricist had referred to as her and her sister Rangoli to his home with “mala fide intentions and ulterior motives and then criminally intimidated and threatened” her. As per Ranaut’s criticism, Akhtar had compelled her to tender a written apology to her co-star.
